Bike Riding, Fingerpainting, Computer, Picnic, and Chocolate!

After watching big brother and sister zoom around on their bikes, Levi has quickly figured out the pedal thing and he is off! He was moving those short little legs as fast as he could go up and down the sidewalk this morning. It is so cute to watch him go and try to keep up with his siblings. I am thrilled that he is trying new things, since he was very apprehensive at first. He also is sliding down the bigger slides at the park. He still won't let me swing him unless I sit on the swing and hold him in my lap. We'll get there. I am sure he just wasn't exposed to all these activities/toys at the orphanage.

I added some pictures of the kids fingerpainting. Levi loved it--althought at first he wasn't quite sure about getting his fingers messy! ha! He painted several pictures--one right after the other. Then, like a normal 4-year old, he was off to the next activity.

This past weekend, we cooked hotdogs on the outside grill and had a picnic on the patio. All of us had a blast. I am not sure that Levi really liked his hotdog, but he ate it, so he could have icecream for dessert. ha! The kid loves CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM!! He loves anything CHOCOLATE! He truly is ours. :)

He is talking up a storm in English and Chinese. We are amazed at how much English he has learned in just a little over a week. He repeats everything we say and has great intonation! In fact, he not only repeats what I say--but the way I say it. It is really funny to see this Chinese child speaking with a Texas accent! LOL!! :)

Levi's brother, Theo taught him how to use the computer mouse. Once Levi practiced a few times with Theo's hand over his, he was off and running. Children are amazing with their technological abilities! He loves the software called Kid Pix, where he can move the mouse to "paint" beautiful pictures. He is really fascinated with the computer and watches us play and work on it all the time.

Well, Levi just woke up from his afternoon nap. We're off to check out a new park in our area.
